The relentless pursuit of trying to get into a T20 school and making it one’s entire identity, people demeaning others for going to lower ranked schools, the arrogance and entitlement, endless boasting about extracurriculars and volunteering only for the purpose of putting it on an application, fighting about who does and does not deserve a spot, people quite literally crying because they “only got into Vanderbilt.” It’s college.

Hi, my kid is going to Mason most likely after she finishes her senior year this year. We are originally from Northern Virginia but we have been down towards Virginia Beach for about 5 years.

Any intel on Spring Semester and Omicron?

I know theirs been a couple of posts on this already – but I just find it kind of infuriating how lackadaisical GMU has been about this. Every time I turn on the local news I hear about what other schools in the region are doing. Some are going full online. Some hybrid. Some opening later.


Why is Mason not allowing 9-month payment plans like in the fall?

The most you can do this spring is 5 monthly payments. With COVID-19 folks aren’t making that much money right now and will have to pay more each month with fewer monthly payments.


When do parking police become active in the morning

Sometimes a friend of mine stays in my dorm overnight, and they park their car in the dorm parking lot. They usually leave in the early morning and havent been ticketed so far, but im just wondering when in the morning do parking police usually become active. Thanks
